3rd grade Exit Point Do you live around here
Third graders had a very exciting exit point. They visited the school's construction site and talked with the engineer in charge, they also welcome architect David Sanchez who gave a lecture about the different stages of construction. If that was not enough, they made concrete blocks, build shelters, produced a booklet about the unit and began making a baharaque-clay house.
2nd Grade Entry Point: Paintings, pictures and photographs
As part of their Entry Point the 2nd grade children made their own painting in the style of Jackson Pollock.
Great learning, great fun
1st grade children used their creativity to make a model of their teeth using plasticine.They learned that humans have 3 types of teeth.
Parts of a plant and classifying animals
1st grade children learning about the parts of a plant in a creative way. They made a poster using different types of paper and then they classified animals into meat and plant eaters using a Venn Diagram.
Designing and making pizza
1st graders learning through the IPC UNIT: We are what we eat. The children had to design their favorite pizza and then they had the chance to make and eat their own pizza creation.
Learning about teeth
1st grade children learning that humans have 3 types of teeth, which are the incisors, canines and molars. They also learned the right way to brush their teeth.
Festival of the Corn
1st grade children learning through the IPC UNIT: We are what we eat. The children learned about our traditional festivals and about one of our mayor products the corn. they learned how to make our traditional pupusas and our famous Elotes locos.
